CircuSoft gMouse 2.8

CircuSoft is very pleased to announce the release of a complimentary update to gMouse 2. CircuSoft gMouse 2.8 takes advantage of the enhanced data entry components available with FileMaker 8 and introduces a completely overhauled Overview window that puts control of the user interface in your hands.

Enhanced Overview Window

One of the most common requests for customization from our customers has been to adjust the layout of the Overview window. With gMouse 2.8, you have complete control of what to display in the mouse, breeding, and litter overviews. Resizable columns let you adjust the width and position of key fields. In addition, if you own FileMaker 7 or 8, you can adjust the exact fields that appear in each overview by going in to layout mode.

Global Filters and Better Navigation

When working with a colony containing multiple lines, it is often convenient to view only the mice, litters, and breedings for one line at a time. CircuSoft gMouse 2.8 now lets you set "filters" in the overview window to easily show records from only one line or belonging to only one investigator. We also responded to your feedback to make the new navigation features more intuitive. Finally, gMouse will no longer "forget" the last found set or sort order you used when navigating between mice, litters, and breedings.

*FileMaker 8-specific Features

The newest version of FileMaker introduced some nice new features that are now available to gMouse users who have upgraded to FileMaker 8. New features include popup calendars for date entry and better drop-down lists. While gMouse 2.8 is backwards compatible with FileMaker 7, these features will not be available. However, the features are automatically included in the Standalone version.
