CircuSoft is no longer in business as of December 31, 2008.
This site has been left up as a service to existing customers and as a respository for legacy files and information concering gMouse.
CircuSoft gMouse is no longer available for sale.
Convert to gplMouse for new or existing installations.
Our initial plans were to merge CircuSoft through private acquisition and then develop and release the next generation of mouse colony tracking software. Unfortunately, this did
not work out as we hoped. Instead we are making a "open-source" version of gMouse available under the GPL license. This version is
known as gplMouse. gplMouse has no activation requirments or restrictions other than those defined in the GNU Lesser Public License. You may use, modify, or distribute the software as
much as you want as long as you comply with this license. gplMouse is availably freely and without direct or implied support from any company or person.
In gplMouse all layouts and scripts are fully unlocked. To access gplMouse in full access mode, hold down shift (command key on OS X) while while opening gMouse.fp7. Use Admin with no
password for access.
New Installations
For new installations, please download gplMouse.zip. gplMouse requires FileMaker 7. It has not been tested on the latest versions of FileMaker, but it should work. If you do not own FileMaker, you can download the Windows Standalone version (OS X not available yet). The old gMouse 3 manual and gMouse 2 Developer's Guide are still available and should apply for the most part to gplMouse.
Convert Old Versions of gMouse
If you already have gMouse 2 or later, you can also convert to gplMouse to remove all activation restrictions. Please back up all your gMouse files first! By converting to gplMouse you also accept the new license. To convert, download gplMouse.zip or Standalone version. For Network version, copy the file gMouse.fp7 over your existing gMouse.fp7 file. All customizations will be lost! For the Standalone version, copy the gMouse.USR file from the gplMouse standalone download over the file of the same name in your existing gMouse install.
Activation Code Generator
If you do not wish to convert your old version of gMouse, the activation code generator is available here. You can use it to generate new activation codes whenever you move your gMouse install. FileMaker 7 or later is required.
